~Missions~

Purpose	Hollis Center Baptist Church (HCBC) shall maintain a Missions Program that will enable it: A. To fulfill the Great Commitssion of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20) B. To minister to human need (James 2, Luke 10: 30-37)
Definition of Missions	The activities of the HCBC Missions Program will be based upon this definition of missions: Any endeavor of HCBC to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ by proclaiming the gospel of Christ, making disciples of those who believe, and leading them to become responsible members of a local church. This endeavor will relate to the whole need of mankind, both spiritual and physical.
Long-term Missionaries	Hollis Center Baptist Church currently supports several long-term missionary families and organizations.
Short-term Missionaries	The last decade has seen over 50 attendees of Hollis Center Baptist Church participate in short-term missions, impacting lives in 21 countries on five continents.

OCTOBER is Missions Awareness month. There are several special events planned, so. Mark your calendar!
